UNSEEN PATAGONIA
The Unexplored Side of Torres del Paine

Exclusive and personal guided walking and touring in Torres Del Paine National Park

Unseen Patagonia is a unique experience of Chile's Torres del Paine National Park, an experience few can share. Explore with us the hidden regions of this World Biosphere Reserve, accompanied by your private guide, on trails dedicated to your small group alone (groups are restricted to no more than six like-minded travelers, or if you wish, you may choose to have a guide exclusively for your own party). This is not for those who enjoy crowded scenery, the noises of mankind, or the commonplace, but for those who wish to journey into a land of wilderness, a land of wind and silence, in comfort and style. Few walk this way in life, and fewer do so in Patagonia.

The excursions have in common a unique characteristic - they follow trails where few or no people at all will be encountered. Such privilege offers an intimate contact with pristine nature, taking adventurers off the beaten track, unveiling the spectacular scenery that characterizes this region, and allowing it to be enjoyed in privacy. Our excursions are lead by highly qualified, exclusive guides, dedicated to you and you alone throughout your time here. All possess a profound knowledge of the region's geological formation, flora, fauna and history, and hold a connection with this land.

Unseen Patagonia is based at the Hosteria las Torres, a delightful and perfectly located private hotel at the base of Mt. Almirante Nieto, the foreground of the Park's most prominent feature - the Towers. At all times these magnificent peaks are part of our experience here, neveHosteria las Torres Patagoniar to be forgotten. For all who experience her, Patagonia becomes an indelible part of their life’s journey. On longer excursions a serene tented camp is prepared for you, to enable a communication with nature unsurpassed, where superb food is enjoyed as never before.

All meals, from lunch on Day 1 until lunch, if desired, on the last day, are included. The food at the Hosteria is well-known for its quality and range, the best in the region; much of it is organically grown or raised with personal care in the hotel's own gardens and farm. Our Chef takes special care to create dishes that combine Chile’s bounty of fresh produce, world class seafood and free range livestock with a modern European flair for unique tastes and professional presentation. The hotel’s cellar of superb Chilean wines has representatives of Chile’s finest vineyards and vintages. For those whose tastes include the world’s best, these wines will be an excursion into rare company. In addition to the private excursions, included for Unseen Patagonia guests are horses, private transfers to and within the Park, Superior rooms, room service, and all Spa services including mud therapy, herbal baths, massage and sauna. Unseen Patagonia is a program for all the senses - visual, experiential, gustatory and sensual.

The three different tours that comprise Unseen Patagonia are offered only in the months of April, May, September and October. Spring and Autumn provide the ideal conditions for an experience of untouched nature, with few tourists in the Park and none at all on most Unseen trails. These months have another advantage, as the oblique rays of light grant the landscape new depth and color intensity, making these seasons the best for those who appreciate quality photography and stunning scenery.

Unseen Patagonia offers an experience of Patagonia without compromise; an experience reserved for the few, never to be forgotten. Whether trekking Patagonia is your wish, or an easier mixed experience of this amazing land, one of these programs will be right for you. As you can nominate the departure to be exclusively yours, the degree of exertion can be individually tailored.

These programs require moderate fitness, but are suitable for most ages. Most days require walking for several hours at a stretch, and occasionally the grade may be somewhat steep, with possible looseness underfoot. However, there is no scrambling, or climbing. As there are no roads to our many beautiful and remote destinations, horseback is the only alternative available in most sections. Remember, though, that these are private excursions - so the pace can be as measured as you wish. Please call or email us for more information on this aspect of these unique journeys.
